Hello Farm Friends,
We are closely monitoring the current COVID cases in the County and we are following all the guidelines. Please continue to monitor our Facebook page and webpage for updates on our open status. When you visit us, please be sure to wear your mask when indoors and sign in at our Visitor Center. It is very important to maintain our open status.
Visitors ages two and over need to wear a face covering indoors. Children under the age of two do not need to wear a mask.
The Suffolk County Farm and Education Center’s mission is to provide hands-on research-based learning to all residents with themes in agriculture, animal sciences, history, STEM, healthy living, and life skills in a unique year-round learning environment and in community spaces. The Farm’s vision is to connect with our agricultural heritage and to pave the way for a bright, healthy, and sustainable future.
Tens of thousands of visitors join us every year at the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center--a real working farm in action! Families can participate in our many special events and get up close to the farm animals. The century-old Farm offers unique educational programs for children Pre-K thru 12th grade, summer day camps, showgrounds, special events, a butterfly house, a certified Nature Explore Classroom and much more.
Come experience the farm beautifully illuminated in the crisp night air!
High school students (9th-12th grade) who are interested in becoming veterinarians are encouraged to attend this online lecture series.
Join us for fun on the farm! Explore our farm with hands-on-activities, stories, songs, crafts and a wagon ride to visit the animals.
Our educators have developed Zoom workshops to support Suffolk County residents while we are unable to present our in-person, interactive programs.
Every year the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center offer teachers, youth groups and scout leaders educational programs about agriculture, life skills, animal sciences and environmental sciences.
