Planning for Planting Success

Plant selection is not as easy as one-size-fits-all. This workshop will focus on diversifying planting options for various landscape designs and needs, and inform you how to avoid selecting and planting problem trees and shrubs.

Includes sessions on:

  • Shade Trees for Our Changing Climate
  • Enhancing the Ornamental Landscape with Edibles
  • Getting to the Root of the Problem
  • Tour of the Holly Collection

Available credits:

NYSED CEU Information: This program offers 5.5 hours* of NYSED continuing education credit hours under the subjects of horticulture and sustainable site design. 

NYS registered landscape architects interested in earning CEUs are required to sign-in before the start of each session. Sign-in sheets will be removed after the welcome and introductory remarks. A certificate of attendance is given at the end of each session. If the sign-in sheet has been removed, you will not be given a certificate of attendance.

PM Session: 2.5 hours toward Educational Activities

Pre-registration is required as seating is limited. No walk-ins. No refunds after July 12th.

Parking is included with your registration fee. From the main road, follow the event signs to lead you to the parking lot. After you park, a Parking Attendant will hand you a parking ticket that you must place on your vehicle dashboard.
