Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County’s Marine Program, The Village of Patchogue, National Park Service, Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce and surrounding Patchogue River businesses to participate in the second annual Patchogue River Clean-Up as part of National Public Lands Day. On Saturday September 30, the Patchogue community will join thousands of volunteers around the country in making their public lands a better place.
Start the day off at 10am at the Patchogue-Watch Hill Ferry Terminal for important information about the day’s activities, clean-up locations, and pick up your clean-up supplies. Learn about the natural resources of the area and enjoy some music after the clean-up at Blue Point Brewery at 1pm. At Blue Point Brewery, participants are invited to win raffles and see how much garbage was collected. Both land-based and boat-based clean-up options will be available and individuals with private vessels are encouraged to sign up.
The Patchogue River Clean-Up aims to connect the Patchogue community to a valuable resource in their backyard through education and public service.
