We welcome you to be a part of our newest Art + Science initiative designed to raise awareness of, and funds to support, the work of Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program: Buoys for the Bays!
Working with our Art + Science Educator Carolyn Munaco, participants will be walked through the steps to create a marine-themed painting on a reclaimed fishing buoy, which will be displayed in an exhibit in our Touch Tank Room and then auctioned off to raise awareness and funding for our programs at the Taste + Tour event at Tiana Bayside Facility on July 27th.
Students will also be given the opportunity to create a marine inspired small canvas painting to take home.
All ages and ability levels welcomed, 14 participant maximum for each workshop. Participants under the age of 6 must be accompanied by a guardian for the duration of the workshop.
This workshop series is part of the bigger "Buoys for the Bays" Initiative which will feature addition involvement opportunities for aspiring and professional artists throughout the year. Please contact Kimberly Barbour at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and check our website regularly for updates and announcements!
