We invite you to join us at Blue Point Brewery as we present two lectures focused on the work Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program is doing in our local bays, and showcasing how YOU can get involved!
“Back to the Bays” lecture on June 20th will feature an overview of the many habitat and shellfish restoration initiatives we are conducting, and how you can help in these efforts! We’ll be showcasing the two new “Back to the Bays” stewardship sites we recently established in the Great South Bay and Peconic Estuary with the support of the Long Island Community Foundation.
“Oysters: History + Future” lecture on June 27th will be focused on the historical significance of this species, but also provide details on some of the current local oyster restoration projects we are conducting and how you can get involved in these efforts!
Lectures are free and open to all, but you must register in advance. Please be sure to register for the specific lecture you would like to attend, and if you’d like to join us at both, please register for each event listed above!
All attendees will receive a complimentary Back to the Bays Membership and door prize raffle tickets entering you to win Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program apparel and Blue Point Brewing goodies!
