Shark Dissection and Comparative Anatomy at Tiana Bayside

  • Monday, August 26, 2019, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Join us for a hands-on investigation of the most misunderstood predator - sharks! Dive into an in-depth experience of the anatomy and biology of sharks as well as other fish and shellfish species. With the guidance of experienced staff members, participants will work in teams to learn dissection techniques and make first-hand comparisons between local animals such clams, bony fish, and sharks. You will also touch and view under a microscope, various animal artifacts like fish scales, shark skin, teeth and jaws while learning about the threats these top ocean predators face!

This program is for all ages that are interested and want to observe and participate in actual animal dissections. Please don't register yourself or your child if you aren't willing to participate in the dissections.
