Deep Sea Week

We’re leaving the warm surface waters and diving into the deep dark ocean…to explore more of the unknown! Added due to popular demand, campers will discover what animals live in the deep sea and their strange lifestyles within a dark world. This mysterious environment is also home to many BIOLUMINESCENT animals! Lantern fish, Bobtail squid, Anglerfish, Siphonophores, jellyfish and dinoflagellates…just to name a few. The most remote place on earth has an unimaginable abundance of life. Who’s ready to dive deep?!

We will emerge from the depths, to enjoy two trips to nearby Asharoken beach, where your child will explore the local beach & salt marsh environments. They will learn about the remarkable animals that live there and enjoy many beach activities to include seining, beach games and swimming.
