Housekeeper

Job Location: Peconic Dunes 4-H Camp, Southold, NY

Brief Summary: The Housekeeper's primary responsibility is to ensure that the camp's facilities are sanitary for young children and staff. The Housekeeper will constantly observe their surroundings and bring potential hazards to the attention of the Facilities Manager. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining all physical operations of the facility during the regular camp season. These duties are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned and other duties will be assigned as required.

Specific Responsibilities: Typical projects the Housekeeper will be involved in are:
• Sanitizing (toilets, sinks, showers, floors, etc)
• Cleaning (sweeping, dusting, widows, mirrors, etc)
• Replenishing Supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc)
• Trash removal
• Laundry

The Housekeeper will also be responsible for documenting inventory. The Housekeeper will notify the Facilities Manager when any supply is running low or any equipment is damaged or requires replacement.

Minimum Qualifications: +18 years old. High school diploma. Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Be able to work on the weekend.

Preferred Qualifications: 6+ months related work experience. Be able to work on the weekends, and support off hours house keeping emergencies.

Work Schedule: 7:00am - 3:00pm, Sunday - Friday
