Assistant Camp Director - Peconic Dunes

Job Description Summary: Responsible for overseeing quality educational and recreational programming. Supervises Program Directors, Day Camp Coordinator and Logistics Coordinator. Leads class and activity scheduling, materials procurement and program evaluation. Assist with staff selection, training and evaluation. Supervised by Camp Director and serves as Camp Director in his/her absence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Mustbeatleast25yearsoldorhaveaBachelor’sdegreetocomplywithNYSDepartmentofHealthregulations.
  • Must have at least 24 weeks of administrative or supervisory experience in camping or related experience
  • Must be able to live on site(negotiable).
  • Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
  • Ability to meet acceptable background check standards, if required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree or course work in education, youth development, outdoor recreation, physical education or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass CCE Motor Vehicle screen.
