With a high level of initiative and discretion, provide Association leadership and direction for all delegated and assigned functions of the Association.The Chief Operating Officer's role is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative systems and processes of CCE of Suffolk County in collaboration with leadership.An essential component in this role is developing systems and practices that remove barriers to full inclusion in the organization's activities and promote innovation.This position requires a skill set necessary to develop inclusive and efficient systems that impact the internal workforce and the Association's community.This position will be responsible for a full range of management duties, including accessing confidential data and completing complex projects and reports. As the COO, you will be providing high-level leadership and management of the Financial and IT operations for the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County (CCE-SC). Under the Suffolk County Executive Director's supervision, the position develops and maintains effective working relationships among the leadership and staff within CCE-SC. This position works in conjunction with the CCE-SC Finance Manager, Extension Administration, and other Leads from across New York State to lead the operation of the Association to its optimal state.The position involves diversified duties requiring an intensive knowledge of a job or work area. It requires good judgment in analyzing facts and circumstances surrounding work situations, problems, or transactions and determining action to be taken within the limits of standard accepted policies.
The Chief Operating Officer will aim to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. This will be achieved by developing and improving systems for functions within all operations/administrative areas, including Finance, Technology, Communications, and Operational system improvements.

POSITION DETAILS:
Salary: $100,000.00 to $110,000.00
Schedule: Exempt (40+ hours)
