Job Description Summary: The Day Camp Coordinator (DCC) provides administrative leadership for day camp counselors and campers and is responsible for ensuring that Day Camp runs safely. The DCC must lead drop off and pick up each day (including sign in and out sheets), must be present for each Round Up in which Day Camp participates, and should also float during cabin activities to assist overnight staff with the needs of Day Campers. Develop and coordinate day camp activities during cabin-time, lunch, siesta, etc. Set goals with day camp counselors and foster teamwork to achieve goals. Facilitate staff meetings to share ideas, delegate tasks, and ensure clear communication within unit. Responsible for ensuring that all unit members are accounted for during scheduled unit times. Provide regular feedback to day camp counselors and senior administrative staff. Participate in general planning of camp program. Assist with all camp program activities and other camp-wide activities as assigned. Interpret safety and health regulations. Participate in staff meetings and training events as scheduled. DCC is also responsible for administrative duties including cabin assignments, parent communications, recording daily Choice/Challenge sign ups, and photocopying schedules and rosters each week.
