Job Description Summary:

Coordinate and direct the development and implementation of a specific 4-H camp program (e.g., sports, expressive arts, environmental science, outdoor education, etc.). camp counselors to effect quality programming in the subject area. Assist with program scheduling and management. Responsible for the coordination and operation of one evening program per week and assist in other all camp activities as needed. Assist with program and staff evaluation processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Interest, knowledge, and skills in the specific program area.
  • Ability to teach, supervise and motivate staff.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Emotional maturity, good health, and vitality.
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement for a particular program area to comply with New York State Department of Health regulations.
  • Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
  • Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate or defined in the offer letter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in education or another relevant field.
  • Two years of experience supervising others.
  • In-depth knowledge of all activities.

POSITION DETAILS:

Salary: Starting at $7,700.00 to $8,800.00 full summer (depending on experience)

Schedule: EXEMPT – TEMP: June 9, 2024 – August 25, 2024
