Job Title: Farm Educator
Location: Suffolk County Farm & Education Center, Yaphank, NY

Number of Hours: 20 hours per week
Prepare and present all programs offered in the most current “Programs for Youth” brochure, both on farm and in schools, libraries, and other community settings.Assist with birthday parties and family programs.Assist with festivals and special events.Assist with day-to-day operations of Farm Education programs.
This is a part time (20 hours per week) position.
Specify preferred specialized education, field and/or certifications.
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Animal Science, Education, or other related field.Additional education and training in the field of education.Additional education in the areas of agriculture, animal sciences, natural sciences, human development and consumer sciences. Additional teaching experience related to educational areas listed above.Experience teaching subjects related to agriculture, animal sciences, natural sciences, human development and consumer sciences.
