Prepare and present all programs offered in the most current
"Field Trips and Outreaches" brochure, both on-farm and in schools,
libraries, and other community settings. Assist with birthday parties and
family programs. Assist with festivals and special events. Assist with
day-to-day operations of Farm Education programs.
This is a part-time (0-20 hours per week) position
Required Qualifications:
- Associates
Degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Education,
or other related fields, or High School Diploma and 2 years volunteer or
work experience.
- One
year of paid or volunteer experience working with children and the public.
- Ability
to learn how to drive van and horse trailer and truck and livestock
trailer.
- Ability
to lift 10-20 pounds unassisted.
- Ability
to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
- Ability
to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's
Degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Education,
or other related fields.
- Additional
education and training in the field of education.
- Additional
education in agriculture, animal sciences, natural sciences, human
development, and consumer sciences.
- Additional
teaching experience related to academic areas listed above.
- Experience
teaching subjects related to agriculture, animal sciences, natural
sciences, human development, and consumer sciences.
