Head Lifeguard, Peconic Dunes Camp, Southold, NY
Job Description Summary: The Head Lifeguard will assist the Aquatics Director with: implementing and evaluating the snorkeling and swimming program; conducting swim tests; training lifeguards and CITs; setting up waterfront during orientation and ensuring safe conditions throughout the summer. The Head Lifeguard will work with lifeguards and the Aquatics Director to promote overall safety, both on and off the water. He/she will provide leadership and guidance for a group of ten campers and participate in general planning of camp program. Assist with all camp program activities and other camp-wide activities as assigned. Participate in staff meetings and training events as scheduled.
