Health Assistant, Peconic Dunes Camp, Southold, NY

Position Summary:

Assist with implementing approved plan for camper health and safety. Under supervision of Health Director, maintain campers' health records and medicines. Respond to camper and staff injuries and illness and applying first aid as needed. May assist with opening day health screening for overnight campers. Reports to Health Director and Assistant Health Director.

Required Qualifications:

  • LPN or EMT licensed to practice in New York State;
  • Certifications in CPR/AED and epi pen.
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or background in school, visiting or public health nursing, desirable.

Hourly Rate: $25.00

Two positions available:

Various shifts Monday through Sunday
