Marine Discovery Summer Program

Marine Discovery Summer Program

July 3, 5, 6, 7 (4 day program) Ages 6-8 ($160)
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday: 9:00 am to Noon

A week-long summer marine experience! Your child will learn about Long Island’s unique marine environment. Children will have fun with marine crafts, beach games, and interaction with live marine animals in our touch tanks. Animals include sea stars, horse- shoe crabs and marine snails. Week is filled with fun activities such as seining, beach games and marine crafts.

Children will:
• Go seining
• Beach games
• Interact with live marine animals
• Catch fiddler crabs
• Study hermit crabs
• Marine crafts

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

A unique week-long summer marine experience. Children will learn about Long Island’s marine environment. They will discover the plants and animals of Peconic Bay and explore a 70-acre salt marsh. This program is for children extremely interested in marine science.

Children will:
• Dissect sharks or squid
• Learn geocaching
• Use GPS units
• Seining
• Build an underwater ROV

August 21 - 25 (5 day program) Ages 6-8 ($200)
Monday thru Friday: 9:00 a.m. to Noon
