For Ages 6-8 and 9-12

Join us for an adventurous week exploring Long Island's marine habitats! Our marine instructors will guide your child through interactive, hands-on learning experiences designed to be educational and fun. Campers will discover the amazing creatures living in our local oceans, bays, and salt marshes as they handle marine animals in our touch tanks, participate in beach activities and games, seine in our salt marsh, and make fun marine crafts.

Sessions are Monday-Friday, 9am to 2pm, at The Sport Fishing Education Center (Cedar Beach Marina, Babylon).

Shark Week - Ages 7-12 (Sessions 1 and 9):

SHARK WEEK!!! Our marine instructors will guide your child through interactive, hands-on learning experiences designed to be educational and fun. Campers will also discover the other amazing creatures living in our local oceans, bays, and salt marshes as they handle marine animals in our touch tanks, explore shark biology with a shark dissection, talk to a Shark attack survivor, participate in beach activities and games, seine in our salt marsh, and make fun marine and shark crafts.

On Thursday, we will set out on a field expedition to see some live sharks at the Atlantis Marine World Aquarium in Riverhead. We will go on a behind the scenes tour and get to see sharks and their cousins, Rays and Skates up close and personal!

We will leave from the Sport Fishing Education Center and Camp pick-up will be at 3:00 (not 2:00) for this one day. Sea Explorers will provide the bussing to and from Atlantis Marine World.

Ages 9-12 (Sessions 5-8)

On Friday, we will set out on a marine biology and fishing voyage aboard the Yankee III to explore the Great South Bay! Parents must drop off and pick up their children at Captree State Park that day.

Session 2 (Ages  6-8): July 2 - 6, 2012, 4 day camp seesion (no camp Wed., July 4th), $230/week
Session 3 (Ages  6-8):  July 9 - 13, 2012, $275/week
Session 4 (Ages  6-8): July 16 - 20, 2012, $275/week

Session 5 (Ages 9-12): July 23 - 27, 2012, $290/week
Session 6 (Ages 9-12): July 30 - August 3, 2012, $290/week
Session 7 (Ages 9-12): August 6 - 10, 2012, $290/week
Session 8 (Ages 9-12): August 13 - 17, 2012, $290/week
