Make your own chocolate! 10:30am-11:30am. Calling all Choco-holics! Join us for a workshop on the farm that the whole family will love! Learn fun facts about this popular confection as you make and sample your own collection of sweet treats! Take your chocolate creations and a collection of easy-to-make recipes home to share with your favorite sweetie.

$8 per person age 4 and up (Children must be accompanied by a registered adult)

Families will participate in an educational and hands on game of Oregon Trail. Learn what life was like during this time in history.

Our winter camp at the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center in Yaphank runs on Tuesday February 21, Wednesday, February 22 and Thursday, February 23. Camp Hours 9:00am-3:00pm Grades 1 through 4.

Indoors: Outdoors...All around the Farm. his will be a great opportunity to make new friends, enjoy unique learning experiences and focus on getting creative with nature and the seasonal wonders of winter!

Make some sweet treats, enjoy hands-on activities with animals, create some awesome craft projects, and enjoy some old-fashioned fun!

Peconic Dunes 4-H Camp Open House days are scheduled for Sundays, March 4 and 25 and April 15 and May 6 from 10:00am-2:00pm. Come tour the summer camp, peek into the cabins, and view the beautiful sandy beach and freshwater lake. Peconic Dunes Camp is located along the gorgeous shoreline in Southold Town. The Spring Break Project, a weeklong environmental science overnight camp, offered to students aged 12-15 years old from April 9-13 at the Dorothy P. Flint 4-H Camp in Riverhead, New York.

The Spring Break Project will offer students the opportunity to work with environmentalists and conservationists from Cornell Cooperative Extension to learn about, and explore, the outdoors. Campers will work in small groups to use the tools they learn to do research projects about the local environment. Instructors serve as mentors during this fun process of scientific inquiry.
