DESCRIPTION:Gardening Impact on Ecosystems
 	Our proximity to bodies of water including the Long Island Sound presents an opportunity to make wise choices about how we garden, enrich soil and maintain water quality.COASTAL GARDENING is a multi-week-course of in-person sessions as well as online recorded speakers representing local, regional and federal organizations. Topics explore native plants, rain gardens, watersheds, storm water management, lawn alternatives and soil amendments.  Field trips are included. The course culminates in a 10-hour stewardship effort.Course is CLOSED with 75 participants.Another session may be offered in 2027 in a different municipality.
