Suffolk County Farm 4-H Camp, Diabetes Camp Nurse, Yaphank, NY

Position Summary:

Provide first aid and emergency medical treatment for children enrolled in Diabetes Camp Summer Fun Days at the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation for recognized high school or equivalent.
  • Current RN/LPN certification.

Licensed to practice in New York State.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to respond to medical emergencies

Ability to assist children and staff experiencing an illness or injury.

Ability to communicate orally and in writing with children, parents, and staff.

Ability to educate youth about the equipment associated with administering diabetes medications.

POSITION DETAILS:

Salary: Non-exempt $22.00 per hour

Hour: 30 hours per week

Dates: July 11, 2022 – July 22, 2022
