Farm Campout

Grab your camping gear and get ready to experience the farm like never before! Join us on September 20, 2025 (rain date September 27th) for a camping trip with the family.

Stroll around the farm and say goodnight to all the animals, take a sunset wagon ride, pick a pumpkin, race to find the end of the corn maze, and end the evening with a movie in the field, wagon rides throughout the evening.

$150 per site-please note sites are not marked at the farm, you can ask staff member to direct you.

Only one person in your group needs to be registered and no more than 6 people per group. If you would like to camp next to another group, you will need to coordinate with the other party before registering to decide which campsites to choose.

Guests are welcome to bring a cooler for food/drinks of their own.
Tent camping only - no RV's or pop-ups.
Bathrooms will be available - there are no showers.
Staff will be available on site overnight.
No refunds without a 72 hours notice.

What to Bring

Tent
Flashlights-Make sure they are working and if possible bring back up batteries
Closed toed shoes
Should be comfortable for walking around farm and be able to get wet (the grass can be dewy in the morning at the Farm)
Cooler, drinks, snacks
Back up battery pack for cell phones
Layers of clothing and extra blankets - the temperature fluctuates greatly at different times on the Farm.
Baby wipes are always useful! While we have added handwashing stations it might be helpful to have on hand.
Bug spray

Family Camping Night Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the group size limited to? Can we bring more than one tent?
A: Groups can have up to 6 people in them. One tent, or two 2-person tents are allowed per spot. More than onelarge tent is not allowed at one spot. You will have to reserve two spots if your group requires two large tents.

Q: Can we have a camp fire?
A: Unfortunately because we are not a typical campground we are not able to have camp fires. There are too many animals, crops, trees, as well as our historic hay barn at risk if wehave fires. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to plenty of other activities that will keep you and your family busy.

Q: Will there be power stations?
A: Yes, we will have a limited amount of power/charging stations available for cell phone charging and if needed to blow up air mattresses. If you feel like you need to bring your own generator you can but it must be turned off and kept off between 9 pm- 7 am.

Q: Will there be first aid stations?
A: Yes, two staff members will be available throughout your stay. Please check the map for areas they will be in during •quiet time" and for any other times use the Visitor Center as the first aid station.

Q: WilI there be a movie?
A: Yes, a family friendly movie will be shown at 8 pm in the Pole Barn Field.

Q: WilI food be provided?
A: No, food will not be provided but you are more than welcome to bring your own or have some delivered.
Q: Can I bring my pet(s)?
A: As much as we would love to meet them, unfortunately your pets will need to remain at home. Ariel and Sebastian, our friendly farm cats, will gladly accept head pets and ear scratches in their place.

Q: It says the event ends at 9 am, do I have to leave at 9 am?
A: Yes, all campsites must be picked up and cleared out by 9 am. The Farm opens to the general public then. We will be strictly enforcing this and our ..leave no trace" policy. If your group chooses to stay after your campsite is cleaned up to visit and play you are more than welcome to, you just need to sign in for that day.

Q: Can I bring alcohol?
A: No, the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center has a strict no alcohol policy. This is a family event for people to enjoy time with each other in a relaxed environment. Please leave your alcohol at home. We also do not allow smoking of any kind on the property.

Q: Can I drive my car to my campsite to unload my things?
A: Yes, you may drive to your campsite if you plan on leaving your car there overnight. We will not allow cars to be coming and going so once you are in your spot you will need to leave your car there until you leave Sunday morning. The speed limit driving on the farm is 5 mph. Please watch out for other visitors and know that the speed limit is strictly enforced.
