Chris Kempner, Secretary

Chris Kempner has over 35 years of rich experience providing innovative Economic Development Strategies for government, nonprofit, and private clients. Hailing from Long Island with summers spent in Southold on Long Island Sound fishing and sailing, Chris has a deep connection to Suffolk County’s farming and maritime heritage. Chris is an attorney with a Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from the University of Hawaii with a concentration in Environmental Studies, complemented by a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in Policy Analysis. Thomas J. Kehoe, Sr.

Tom Kehoe brings a lifetime of work in the seafood industry from many avenues. A partner in numerous wholesale and retail companies, some dating back to the Old Fulton Fish Market. He has also owned aquaculture operations, holding one of the first aquaculture permits in 1986 in Peconic Bay. Tom has lectured about American Seafood in Russia, and has actively exported, shipped, traveled to and traded US seafood to numerous countries.  more...

George LaMay, an Arborist, and has been an active supporter of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County for nearly two decades.

He and his wife of 50 years, Cynthia founded LaMay's Tree Service in Greenlawn, N.Y. in 1972. Their sons Buddy and Jason also work in, and manage this successful family business.  more...

Morgan Morrison

Morgan Morrison is a lifelong resident of Suffolk County and is deeply rooted in this community. Morgan grew up fishing, clamming, and sailing on the North Shore of Long Island. He is a lover of all things natural as well as an avid beekeeper and gardener. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from Stony Brook University and currently works as a Horticultural Consultant in the private sector. Morgan also serves as an elected Trustee in the Village of Old Field. Morgan loves problem solving, and is excited to bring his time and technological expertise to advancing the varied missions of CCE Suffolk.

Alyssa Turano is a Senior Public Involvement Specialist for Burns & McDonnell. As part of the project management team she works to help manage, provide field outreach, and deliver an integrated community approach to planning utility scale renewable energy projects. Dafny Irizarry 

Dafny Irizarry is the founder and president of the Long Island Latino Teachers Association, an organization working to identify and tackle common risk factors impacting the academic outcomes of Latino students and other ethnic groups on Long Island.

Ms. Irizarry teaches English as a New Language (ENL) in the Central Islip School District. She also serves as First Vice President for the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA) Long Island Chapter, is a member of the Advisory Board Member for the TESOL Program at Molloy College, and a member of the Community Advisory Board for Northwell Health.
