Kristina Wollschlaeger

Kristina Wollschlaeger is an innovative executive known for getting things done, breaking new ground, and effecting broad change in organizations. She excels at inspiring people, leading highly accomplished teams, and managing successful, complex projects.

During her 30-year career at McKinsey, Kristina held various positions. As a consultant, she advised clients on strategy and operations in the financial and healthcare industries and across sectors on human resources, with a focus on performance management, organization design, and leadership development.

As Associate Dean of Client Learning and later as Director of Learning, Kristina launched a series of client capability-building initiatives, delivered learning programs for early-tenure consultants, and established and led the learning organization for McKinsey’s Organizational Practice.

In her recent role as Chief Operating Officer of McKinsey’s M&A Practice, Kristina was responsible for establishing this large, global organization as well as shaping strategic priorities and driving operational excellence.

Before joining McKinsey, Kristina worked in secondary and adult education. She graduated from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education and the University of Hamburg, Germany. Kristina also held a New York City school administrator certification.

In addition to joining the board of the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County in 2021, Kristina served as the Commodore of the Shinnecock Yacht Club (Quogue, NY), one of the oldest yacht clubs in the country. She holds dual citizenship in the US and Germany and is fluent in both English and German.
