Jennifer Carpenter Low brings three decades of experience driving impact through program development, fundraising, communications, and executive leadership in the nonprofit sector.

As Senior Director of Development & Public Affairs at the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI), she leads fundraising, communications, and advocacy efforts for over 1,600 children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities through a full continuum of care.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has held key roles such as Vice President at Smile Farms Inc., where she expanded employment and vocational opportunities for people with disabilities, and senior communications positions at United Way of Long Island, the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center, and Long Island University. Jennifer's experience spans local, national, and international organizations, including UNICEF USA and the Anti-Defamation League, with a focus on advocacy, disaster relief, and education.

Jennifer holds a bachelor's degree from SUNY Oneonta, where she was named an Alumni of Distinction in 2020. Based in Brightwaters, NY, she actively contributes to her community as a member of the Board of Directors for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County, a founding board member and past vice chair of Mondays Cancer Care, and a volunteer with the Bay Shore Lions Club.
