The Family Health and Wellness program at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County provides practical solutions to real-life problems.
Our staff members actively network with community agencies, organizations and groups, including schools, libraries, child care centers, businesses and government department to bring the resources of the land-grant university system to Suffolk’s citizens. In turn, our staff also learn about the current needs and concerns of individuals, families, and communities in Suffolk County. Family Health and Wellness provides research-based information, hands-on training, and on-going support for the residents of Suffolk. We offer parent education programs for parents and others raising or caring for children as well as training to professionals and paraprofessionals who work with families and communities.
