2025 Greenport Shellabration

On behalf of Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program and the Greenport Business Improvement District (BID), we regret to inform you that the Greenport Shellabration event will not be held this year.  While this annual tradition, which has taken place in Greenport Village during the first weekend of December for the last 13 years, will be put on pause this year, we will work with individual restaurants, business owners, local residents, and past participants to improve the experience for everyone next year. 

We did not make this decision lightly, and we apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause, but in taking time to re-imagine and improve the event, we hope to ensure that Shellabration will continue to operate in a sustainable and enjoyable fashion in the years ahead. Most importantly, we want to make sure that Shellabration supports the missions of CCE’s SPAT and Back to the Bays Programs and that it also equally benefits the entire Greenport business community. 

So, we ask for your patience and understanding as we plan for the future and look forward to bringing this event back, better than ever, in 2026. We appreciate your continued support and understanding and ask that you still come out to the beautiful village of Greenport on December 6^th and 7^th to support the amazing restaurants and shops who count on your business. 

The BID is working to encourage individual restaurants, bars, and shops to offer unique menu specials, drinks, and deals to keep the weekend lively; but there will be no tickets sold or maps provided this year.
