The Program Assistant is a member Community Education Program Team. Responsible for supporting educational program needs, assisting in delivering program goals and objectives, and planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for adults, youth and seniors . This individual represents Cornell Cooperative Extension's Community Education programs to the public, community leaders, government officials, and Cornell University as part of program delivery. Funded under USDA grant. Applicant must be fluent bi-lingual in oral & written English/Creole
The responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not be limited to, the following Specific Duties:
• Under supervision assist- support /translate nutrition workshops in various settings , virtual and face to face for low-income communities.
• Ability to assist in all data collection and paperwork.
• Ability to provide reports
• Promote recruiting and enrolling groups from community agencies.
• Assist in teaching groups, food preparation skills , and using prepared lesson plans and curriculum
• Attend staff /in-service training as assigned.
• Flexible work hours including weekend and evenings.
• Ability to travel to various sites in long-Island
• Other duties as assigned.
Serve as a member of the Community Education Program responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of an ongoing project. This individual represents Cornell Cooperative Extension's Community Education Program to the public, community leaders, government officials, and Cornell University as part of program delivery. Several state and federal grants fund this position. The Program Assistant will work as a team member with existing Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) staff, including specialists and educators. Will receive direction and guidance on daily work activities from Supervisor.

POSITION DETAILS:
Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour, 0-20 hours per week
Other: The position is a part-time, temporary employment
