Losing a loved one is both a universal and deeply personal human experience, however conversations around grief and loss are oftentimes taboo and difficult to have. The COVID-19 pandemic and other national and international events have also exacerbated our losses and upended our lives in a myriad of ways. This workshop explores ways to better understand and manage grief and loss, whether it be the loss of a loved one or other secondary losses (job, financial security, social connections). This program will help participants build their knowledge base about the different types of grief, models to best understand grief and to develop strategies to care for themselves and their families, friends, and others during challenging times.
