Invasive and Troublesome Floriculture Pests
This presentation will cover invasive and some other floriculture and ornamental plant pests causing problems in 2023 in potted plants and cut flower crops, including spotted lanternfly, Thrips parvispinus, Hawaiian beet webworm, and European pepper moth. Some other ‘new’ pests on the horizon and some common pest issues growers were seeing this past year will be discussed.An update on status of neonicotinoids in NY will be other topics discussed. |

This presentation will discuss how to properly maintain and calibrate Dosatrons, commonly used fertilizer and chemical injectors in greenhouses, nurseries, and other field applications.Injector maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration will be discussed, as will the importance of maintaining a well-functioning injector for the proper application of fertilizer and pesticides.
