Our proximity to the Long Island Sound presents LI gardeners with an opportunity to make wise choices about how we garden, enrich soil and maintain fresh and saltwater quality.
The 5 plus week course includes, in-person sessions, field trips and online learning. Speakers represent local, regional and federal organizations. The online sessions, consisting of recorded lectures and videos, are explored on your own schedule. This is noted as "week" below in the course outline. Participants will have an opportunity to share what they’ve learned via community conversations, social or conventional media with 10 hours of community service.
