As our culture becomes more accepting of transgender and gender-diverse individuals, we are having more discussions about gender than ever before. This program will expand upon traditional understandings of gender, build a deeper understanding of gender-diverse individuals and the LGBTQIA+ community, and offer everyday skills to navigate a gender-expansive world.

This program is a follow-up to Part 1, designed specifically for parents/caregivers of gender-diverse youth. Research has emphasized the immense importance of family support for outcomes of gender-diverse youth, but what does “support” look like? Participants will review the protective role of family support and concrete strategies for supporting gender-diverse loved ones while taking care of themselves.
