The Supplemental
Nutrition Assistance Program Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention
(SNAP-Ed) Grant Writer will primarily be responsible for delivering
established SNAP-Ed public education programming to improve healthy food and
lifestyle choices among families and individuals of all age groups throughout
the Long Island SNAP-Ed Region. This position will also assist with marketing
efforts for SNAP-Ed programming in collaboration with other nutrition educators
in the SNAP-Ed region. Given the geographic location of this position, many of
the constituents will be Spanish-speaking individuals, so bilingual skills are
required.
Funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program is
through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by
the Federal Food and Nutrition Services (FNS).

Salary: $22.00 - $23.00 Per Hour
