The High Line

The High Line is a jewel of a NYC destination garden. Native plants and grasses have been used to create a green oasis in the middle of a city. This presentation features key landscape lessons from the High Line that are ideal for Long Island gardeners to bring into their yard.

Chanticleer

Chanticleer, located in Wayne, PA, is regarded as one of the best gardens in our region. Take a trip to the many “garden rooms” of Chanticleer. Explore what gives each area a distinctive beauty and character. Hardscape design features as well as the landscape materials will be examined.

The Gardens of Downton Abbey

Looking for a fix of Lady Mary or Mr. Carson? Come to the grounds of Highclere Castle, the setting location of the BBC series. The Highclere gardens owe much of their inspiration to Capability Brown, the famous 18 th century landscape designer.

The Secret Garden, the White Garden, the Monks Garden as well as the creation of follies and ha-has will be visited.

Parks for all: Frederick Law Olmsted
