Shellabration

Shellabration is an annual culinary celebration that showcases local shellfish and benefits Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program’s SPAT Program and Back to the Bays Initiative. It is traditionally held the first weekend of December in Greenport Village and has been enjoyed by thousands of "Shellabrants" through the years. 

2022 Greenport Shellabration marks our 11th anniversary Shellabrating with our supporters. We are bringing back this very special in-person event to Greenport! We have reduced capacity for the event, so we recommend reserving your ticket as soon as possible as we will likely sell out earlier than usual.

Time: Noon - 4 p.m.
Wristbands: $35 weekend / $25 Sunday only
Offerings: Small plates $8 / Tasting pours $5 (at participating restaurants)

Check-In Locations

This year we will have 2 Official Shellabration Check in Locations: Little Creek Oysters, and Greenport Harbor Brewery (Greenport location, not Peconic!). You may pick up your wristbands from any of these three locations. For our sponsors, please pick up your wristbands at the Greenport Harbor location.

Wristbands will not be mailed, they will be held for you under the name you reserved them under. Weekend Wristbands will be available for pick up beginning Saturday at 11am. Sunday Only Wristbands may only be picked up on Sunday beginning at 11am.

*WRISTBANDS MUST BE CLAIMED, AND RAW BAR AND DRINK TICKETS REDEEMED, BY 2PM!

Our participating Greenport Shellabration establishments DO enforce the wristbands, and have planned to make available only as many of the pairing specials on their special Shellabration menus as there are participants in the event. We ask that you please not put any additional strain on them by trying to participate in the event without a wristband. Most restaurants are still serving their regular lunch menus, and have dining space available for those not participating in Shellabration, so by all means we invite you to enjoy these fantastic establishments if you are in Greenport during Shellabration weekend. Be sure to check out the many fun things happening in Greenport this holiday season and reserve those wristbands well in advance next year!

General Access Weekend Wristband Your $35 contribution will gain you an all weekend wristband to Shellabration! General Access Sunday-Only Wristband Your $25 contribution will purchase a Sunday-only wristband to Shellabration! All participating restaurants and merchants will need to see your wristband to give you special offerings and discounts at their establishments.
