Water Play
Water play helps
children better understand critical science concepts such as: density, volume,
sinking, floating, and absorption.
Bring It Home
- Encourage water play at home (with
supervision, of course) by filling a big plastic storage bin, the kitchen sink
or bathtub with water and giving your child a few unbreakable kitchen tools
such as measuring cups, a colander or whisk.
- Play with different colored ice:
freeze food-colored water and then put the ice cubes in water and allow your
child to see the color mixing process.
- Create a backyard water wall: find
instructions
here.
