Zandile Ndhlovu

Mermaids are real in South Africa!

Our #blackhistorymonth spotlight today is on Zandile Ndhlovu. She is a fascinating figure in the diving world. She is breaking barriers in the sport for people of color. Ndhlovu grew up in a world where the remnants of apartheid were strongly felt, and access to water sports was limited for low-income black residents. Ndlovu is helping change this by making it her mission to open up the underwater world to her community.
