MTA Long Island Rail Road

April is Earth month and at CCE-Suffolk we are focusing on unique ways to care for our environment. This #Stakeholder Saturday, we are happy to highlight the MTA Long Island Rail Road. As you plan your traveling, consider skipping the car ride and take the train!

The LIRR is a key component to transportation on Long Island. Over 300,00 commuters rely on the trains every day on LI to bring us to our destination. 

Whether we are working, visiting friends and family or simply enjoying New York entertainment, the MTA helps makes this possible by getting us there! 

CCE-Suffolk has been collaborating with the MTA to strategize a future destination point for the @suffolkcountyfarm. The Farm’s close proximity to the Yaphank train station makes this an optimal stop for LIRR excursions. Families from Nassau and NYC can enjoy the Farm and participate in our Island’s unique agricultural heritage.
