Sea Grant award for Sport Fishing Frenzy Programs
Would you like to bring your students on a fishing expedition at the Sport Fishing Education Center?
Sea Grant has awarded Cornell Cooperative Extension, for classes from Title 1 schools to be afforded the opportunity to experience our Sport Fishing Frenzy program where students learn about the species that are fished for in our local waters like fluke, flounder, striped bass, bluefish, etc. We will explore conservation and regulations on those species, how to fish for them, proper and safe handling, and catch and release techniques. After a short presentation, game, and demonstration of equipment we will go test our skills and fish from our pier!
