Become a NYSERDA Empower+ Contractor – NYSERDA is actively seeking well-qualified contractors to perform energy-related weatherization, repairs, and installations for households who are participating in the EmPower+ Program.The EmPower+ Program Manual includes program background and in-depth application information, and the expectations of contractors enrolled in the program. Additionally, you can request information about participating in the EmPower+ program by emailing support.residential@nyserda.ny.gov and providing your company name and contact information.

Become a NYSERDA NY-Sun Contractor - NY-Sun is working to create a self-sustaining solar market by making it easier for solar contractors and developers to conduct business throughout the State. NY-Sun offers guidance and support to help solar contractors grow New York’s solar market, including:

  • Upstate Incentives: Real-time information on available incentives for solar installations within upstate New York (for projects up to 7.5MW)
  • Long Island Incentives: Real-time information on available incentives for solar installations within Long Island (for projects up to 750kW)
  • Value of Distributed Energy Resources (VDER): Detailed guidance on New York’s policy for pricing the benefits of energy, like distributed solar, and how it affects your company
  • Resources for Contractors: Detailed information (program manuals, tax forms, etc.) to support participating contractors

To access incentives through NY-Sun, all homeowners, businesses, and organizations must work with a participating contractor.

NYSERDA Clean Energy Internship Program - Partially funds the salary of skilled interns for eligible clean energy businesses to hire new talents and build their team’s capacity.
